I am an ardent supporter of Public Safety, veterans and economic development. As your public servant, I am a steadfast, responsible steward of taxpayer monies.
Fiscal Responsibility & Taxes
- I have never voted for a millage rate increase during my service as District 3 Commissioner.
- I have consistently voted against tax increases and worked to ensure your tax dollars are spent wisely.
- Led the effort to reduce the water transfer fee from 10% to 4%, and continue working to eliminate it entirely.
- Advocated to control spending and cut waste from the County budget while prioritizing constitutional services like public safety.
- Will continue to be a strong, independent voice for taxpayers.
Public Safety
- Championed Step and Grade to provide salary equity and clarity for sworn personnel.
- Completed Cobb Police Precinct 6.
- Secured the Animal Services K-9 Annex.
- Replaced retiring Cobb Police K-9 units.
- Delivered a new training facility for Cobb Fire
Veterans
- Worked with the Cobb Veterans Memorial Foundation to raise awareness and funding for a permanent memorial honoring Cobb County veterans.
- Launched Superior Pets for Patriotic Vets, pairing Cobb County Animal Shelter pets with military veterans — resulting in up to 264 adoptions year-to-date.
- Co-chaired an event honoring Women Veterans (2021).
- Served as Steering Committee Co-Chair with the South Korean Ambassador to honor Korean War Veterans(2019).
- Steering Committee Co-Chair for the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War commemoration (2016).
- Co-chaired the U.S. Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus Veterans Day concert at Lassiter Concert Hall (2015).
- Delivered SPLOST funding
- for the Cobb Veterans Memorial.
Economic Development
- Led development of Sprayberry Crossing, ending more than 25 years of blight in the area.
- Assembled the Canton Road Redevelopment Committee to encourage revitalization along the Canton Road corridor and throughout District 3.
- 14 of 17 redevelopment sites in District 3 have been successfully redeveloped.
- Initiated the Keep It in Cobb program to encourage residents, businesses, and government to spend locally.
- Amended the Purchasing Ordinance to include a local vendor presence clause, awarding extra points to locally owned businesses.
- Launched How to Do Business with Cobb seminars to help local businesses become vendors for Cobb Government and Cobb Schools.
- Charter member of the Northeast Cobb Business Association (NCBA).
- Helped deliver the new Gritters Library.
